IIEST SHIBPUR
About The Department
The Department of Civil Engineering, as old as the Bengal Engineering College itself, is a 170 years old Engineering Department. The then Civil Engineering College was upgraded to the status of a full-fledged Government Engineering College with various disciplines, and renamed as the Bengal Engineering College. It was upgraded to Bengal Engineering and Science University, Shibpur and IIEST, Shibpur in 2004 and 2014 respectively. It offers Undergraduate Dual Degree and also Post Graduate program and Ph.D. program in Civil Engineering under five disciplines, viz. Structural Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Water Resources Engineering, Transportation Engineering and Environmental Engineering
